What's new in the last and the next version?

 

Driving Program Version 1999

It is now possible to add a memo field to each competitor. This memo field can be add in each input program (competitor update, presentation, dressage, general input, obstacle driving).

If during an input for a competitor, a memo field exists for this competitor, a message appear to prevent that there is a memo field for this competitor. The memo field can be viewed immediately. It is also possible to print all the memo fields.

It is possible to create a table with all the reasons of abandon, elimination, retired, .... For each record in this table, the operator have to input an unique code, a desciption and the moment (before the competition, before dressage, during dressage, after dressage, ...)

There is also an additional table where you can input a competitor number and the code of elimination, abandon or retired.

The reasons of abandon, elimination, retired, ... can be printed on a separate list

For some results, it is now possible to generate an HTML page. This is available for dressage results (general and detail), marathon, time in hazards, A+B and total results. This is also possible for team competition.

 

Driving Program Version 2000

In the version 2000 it will be possible to use a radio network during the dressage. This means that an handheld computer will be used near each judge and that the results will be send to the network server by radio.
This means also : no cables.
The handheld computers will be available on renting base.
The price will be fixed in february 2000.

 

Driving Program Version 2001

New press output are now available. This is a txt document with results in continuous text.

Now it will be possible to disqualified a competitor. This means that he will not appear on any results. The disqualified code have to be modified in the competitor record.

You can ask the Driving Program to recalculate all the green cards. This is very usefull if the jury changes the time for one or more sections. Attention, this recalculate only the green cards (with possible elimination if the time of the competitor is to long).

The maximum time in sections A, B, C and D is now 120 % of the allowed time. But you can ask the program to use the old rules (200 %)

In the previous versions the drive-off was automatically done for all the categories. In the new version you can specify only one category. If you want alll the categories, you specify no category.

 

Driving Program Version 2002

The 2002 version will be developped with the new version of Windev. This will add a lot of new possibilities

During the year 2002 an additional program will be available. This program, to install on a Internet server, will made it possible to install an Intranet or Internet site using the inputed data from the Driving Progam.

With this additional program it will be possible to have a life competition on Internet.

To use this you will need an Internet Server with IIS, an additional program and a specific runtime to install on the server.

 

The first beta versions of the 2002 version will be available around november. I am looking to people to test the new version. If you are interested, please contact me.
